Sponsor Tima
Tima is a very bright boy from the rural village of Kimuka. Tima, who is a first-born in his family, was the top student in his class in 2003. His good grades gave him an opportunity to attend one of the best schools in the country. He was the first from this rural village to attend a high school of that status. The cost for attending this high school was very high.
With the help of our organization (ELAND) and neighbors, we were able to pull together and ensure that Tima did not drop from this prestigious school. Tima, who is always optimistic and full of hope, did us proud. In 2007 he graduated with A's. This is the highest grade that any of our rural children have attained. Since his graduation, Tima has not been able to go to college. His parents are overwhelmed by the burden they are carrying. Neither parent has been to school and they depend on their few goats for their livelihood. The father has nine children of his own and he is also taking care of five orphans.
Currently Tima is volunteering as a teacher for the local school. Tima is a potential community leader and we at ELAND believe in his ability. However without any sponsorship his leadership abilities may never be tapped. Tima is a very determined young man with great dreams for his community. With your support Tima believes he can achieve his goal of being an economist or lawyer.
The cost for Tima’s education is $4,600 per year. The duration of his education is four years. To support Tima, please make your tax-deductible donation to ELAND today. You may use the designation line to express your interest in sponsoring Tima.
